Town Hall save the date Thursday, October 26, 2021 @ 6:30 pm
The Town Hall is an opportunity to hear from Shareholders and discuss current Board initiatives. We will send out an agenda and a Zoom link closer to the date.
COVID continues
As we all know the pandemic is still with us. Therefore, Covid rules still apply.
Please wear a mask when you are in common element areas.
Given the recent provincial announcement re vaccine passports, and the potential for our gym and indoor pool to be subject to these regulations, the board and management are considering our options. Residents should anticipate further announcements regarding the protocols for use of these common element areas.
Good news on the parking situation on north side of Dale Ave
There is now a No Standing Anytime restriction on the north side of Dale Avenue, 30.5 metres west of Maple Avenue. According to work order# 10326615, staff adjusted the No Parking restriction and installed one No Standing sign.
This means NO PARKING ANYTIME on Dale across from the Kensington entrance. If you see someone parked there, please report to Daniel or you can call 311 and report it to the city.
The sinkhole…the ongoing saga
The tree that is obstructing further investigation is being removed
Thursday September 9th.
The next step? Hoarding will go up around the hole to minimize debris falling into the valley.
Once in place the engineers can proceed with their investigation as to the cause of the sinkhole. Stay tuned…
Pool news, outdoor and indoor
NO GUESTS.
Sadly, Covid is still with us and therefore Covid rules still apply. No guests regardless of who they are. Only residents may use the pool for now.
Chemicals…A few swimmers have expressed concern regarding when the chemicals are added to the pool and understandably requested that they be notified.
Here’s what’s happening with the chemicals this year. The automatic feeder for the outdoor pool has been adjusted to lessen the frequency of having to add chemicals to the pool manually. When adding chemicals to the pool is necessary the technician will post a sign in the pool area advising when chemicals have been added and when it is advisable for use.
The Shower…Swimmers may have seen the Out of Order sign on the outdoor shower. Why? There was a leak. The leak has now been repaired and the shower is working again.
The pool will remain open until Thanksgiving.
The indoor pool is still scheduled to be open by the end of September.
Results on the Mobility Access Survey
A big thanks to all the residents who took the time to fill out the survey. We had over 50 responses which was great, very informative. The first change you will see in response to the survey results are the Laundry Room door openers. The corridor Fob access will be replaced with the Wave access mechanism that is already inside the laundry rooms. That is just the beginning. The MAP working group is looking at all the survey results and will advise us on how best to address the issues you have raised.
